PEKIN, Ill. – A man is in custody in Tazewell County after Pekin Police seized over three kilos of cocaine and loaded guns.
In a Facebook post, Pekin Police say the arrest concludes a three-month narcotics investigation by its Special Services Division.
Police have not released the suspect’s name, but posted a photo of the cocaine, a loaded AR-15 ghost gun and a loaded handgun.
Pekin Police also found $20,000 in suspected drug money.
“The Pekin Police Department is committed to the relentless pursuit of drug traffickers in and around our city,” the department says.
Pekin Police were assisted by Marquette Heights Police, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Peoria Metropolitan Enforcement Group in their investigation.
