PEORIA, Ill. – On Monday, in downtown Peoria, sidewalk removal work begins at the intersection of NE Adams Street and Kumpf Boulevard.
Right lane closures are already in place on Kumpf Boulevard and a left lane is blocked on the one-way Adams. Sidewalks will also be closed so the city is urging pedestrians not to cross at that Intersection.

The work is part of the Adams and Jefferson Streets one-way to two-way conversion project which resumes after a winter break.
Also on Monday, Nebraska Avenue will be reduced to one lane, with one-way traffic between Sterling Avenue and N. Park Road for the next phase of Nebraska Avenue Reconstruction Project.

Eastbound traffic will be rerouted to the current westbound lane and westbound traffic will be blocked. The latest configuration is expected to continue through mid-summer.
Also on Monday, the intersection of Martin Street and Warren Street in Peoria will be closed for sewer work until June.
And, the City of Pekin has announced that new traffic signals will be activated at the intersection of Court Street and Stadium Drive.
To alert and adjust drivers to a traffic light, the signals will be on red flash until March 12, then fully operational.
