BARTONVILLE, Ill. – For 49 years, students at Bartonville’s Limestone High School have raised money for the kids at Easterseals Central Illinois.
Easterseals’ Mark Scott tells WMBD’s “Greg and Dan Show”, this week Limestone broke their all-time giving record.
“There’s so much more to the story, and how they do what they do, and what they do, and why they do what they do…and how they include…they’re a very inclusive school. But, let’s get to the point…(they’ve raised) $125,490.25,” Scott says.
The announcement is the culmination of Limestone High School’s month-long fundraiser for Easterseals Central Illinois.
Scott says the school’s dedication to helping Easterseals allows more children with disabilities to receive therapy and support services, helping them gain confidence, independence, and brighter futures.
In 49 years, Limestone High School students have raised $1,512,560.93 for Easterseals Central Illinois.
“That’s the greatest story ever…it’s kids giving back to kids,” Scott says.
