PEORIA, Ill. – An accident that shut down a portion of Knoxville Avenue in Peoria Friday morning injured two people.
Peoria Police say the two-vehicle crash happened just before 9:30 A.M. near the intersection of Knoxville and Forrest Hill.
Police say both vehicles had significant damage.
The driver of one vehicle suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The other driver suffered minor injuries.
Knoxville between Forrest Hill and War Memorial was closed for a few hours during the crash investigation.
