PEORIA, Ill. โ Central Illinois was mostly unscathed during a round of severe weather Wednesday afternoon.
Multiple tornado warnings were issued for Peoria, Tazewell, Woodford, and Fulton Counties, but little reports of damage.
The National Weather Service says multiple tornadoes were reported throughout the afternoon. Tornadoes reportedly touched down in towns near Pekin, Marquette Heights, Hanna City, Mackinaw, and Congerville.
Weather spotters report 70 MPH gusts and dime sized hail in Goodfield. Three-quarters of an inch hail was also reported near Dillon in Tazewell County.

More than an inch and a half of rain fell in West Peoria during the storm, and more than an inch fell near Alta.
Pea-sized hail was also reported in downtown Peoria.
