MARQUETTE HEIGHTS, Ill. – The town of Marquette Heights is under a boil order until further notice.
The city announced the order is in effect, due to a water main break near the water tower in Independence Park.
The city says the boil order will be in place for at least 48 hours while work is done to repair the break.
Residents of Marquette Heights should boil all tap water for at least one minute before drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, or washing dishes.
