PEORIA, Ill. – 25 News First Alert Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins expects strong to severe storms to roll into Central Illinois Sunday afternoon.
For that reason, Collins has designated Sunday a First Alert Weather Day.
“We’re looking for clusters of potentially severe thunderstorms Sunday afternoon between Noon and 4 p.m. All hazards will be in play, including a few tornadoes, damaging winds up to 70 miles per hour, and hail the size of quarters or larger,” Collins says.
After a break from storms on Monday and Tuesday, Collins expects another threat of severe weather on Wednesday.
