PEORIA, Ill. – A threat of severe weather is prompting 25 News First Alert Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins to designate a First Alert Weather Day for Tuesday night through Wednesday.
“We’ll see isolated strong to severe storms late Tuesday night, into the wee hours Wednesday morning. Isolated damaging winds and large hail are the main threats,” Collins says.
A slow moving cold front is expected to spawn thunderstorms mid-morning through Wednesday afternoon.
“All hazards will be in play, including a few tornadoes, damaging 70 mile an hour winds, and one inch hail or larger,” Collins says.
