PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police arrested a man Tuesday on multiple gun charges.
Officers responded to the area of Lucerne Court and Melcosta Drive around 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, on reports of trouble with a man possibly armed with a gun. They didn’t find anyone at the scene.
But, while investigating, officers found 24-year-old Shaquille Brown near Molleck Drive and Forrest Hill Avenue, allegedly with a stolen gun.
Semone Roth says Brown was taken into custody for aggravated assault, armed violence, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a stolen firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a controlled substance, and having no FOID card.
Brown was taken to the Peoria County Jail following the arrest.
