PEORIA, Ill. โ OSF Healthcare has a new leader.
OSF announced on Monday that Kimberly Russo has accepted the role of chief executive officer for the central region. Her first day will be April 28th. Russo takes over for Bob Anderson, who retired in January.
Russoโs role will cover the Peoria area and surrounding communities. The hospital says she will โensure clinical and administrative services are organized to meet population needs and deliver improved health and performance across the OSF Ministry.โ
Russo was most recently the CEO at the George Washington University Hospital in Washington DC, and group vice president for the DC Region of Universal Health Services.
OSF says Russoโs efforts led to the development of an integrated care delivery system by expanding assets and building a new hospital in D.C. through a public-private partnership. Russo also helped George Washington University modernize funds to be a more research intensive university.
Russo is a graduate of Illinois State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. She earned a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Rush University in Chicago, and an Executive MBA from the University of Nebraska.
