At the Movies with Casey Foreman: “Freaky Tales”

Talk about a surprise… this MIGHT be my favorite release of 2025 so far!!!
All four storylines are incredibly entertaining, fast-paced, and connected in a way that actually makes sense.
The film is set in 1987 Oakland…
To break it down by chapter:
Chapter 1 – Teenage rockers vs Nazis
Chapter 2 – Two hip-hop artists POP OFF and make a name for themselves
Chapter 3 – A newly retired thug (Pedro Pascal) has the worst day of his life
Chapter 4 – Sleepy Floyd WAKES UP – and has a katana (and it’s very sharp)
I won’t spoil it – but there’s a cameo in the chapter 3 video store scene that is ABSOLUTELY WILD and comes completely out of NOWHERE – extremely enjoyable.
We need more movies that take a hilarious spin on an event in US/Sports history!
Go get Freaky in theaters and see this with a group of friends, these are surely some Tales you won’t forget…
