WASHINGTON, Ill. โ More video gaming machines will be coming to Washington.
The city council on Monday approved adding more machines throughout the city, as well as two new applicants.
The Peak and the Blue Ox were approved to have six video gaming terminals, while the remaining ten establishments in the city were approved to have six each. The Blue Ox was seeking to continue gaming after buying the location from prior owners.
That brings the total number of video gaming terminals in Washington from 53 to 72. Previously, only 57 machines were allowed at 11 establishments.
Washington will generate $600 per video gaming machine, $1,000 per establishment license issued, and a small share of revenue generated.
