PEORIA, Ill. – Two people were injured after apparently being shot early Sunday morning in Peoria’s South Side.
Peoria Police says officers responded to the area of Lincoln and Blaine just before 1:45 A.M. after three shots were fired.
Police initially did not find any victims. Officers then learned during a search that a 32-year-old male and a 25-year-old female were taken to separate hospitals via private vehicles with apparent gunshot wounds.
The victims told police they were in the area of Western and Howett when an unknown vehicle approached, and someone inside it opened fire.
Police are currently investigating, and have no suspects.
