PEORIA, Ill. โ A former Peoria County correctional officer has been indicted for allegedly bringing contraband to an inmate.
A Peoria County grand jury on Tuesday indicted 24-year-old Ezekiel Hidden of one count of Bringing Contraband into a Penal Institution, and one count of Official Misconduct, both felonies.
He is due back in court on Thursday morning.
Hidden is accused of smuggling a cannabis vape pen and a battery to an inmate, in exchange for $1,000.
25 News reports the inmate in question was former Reditus Labs CEO Aaron Rossi.
Hidden was hired by the Sheriffโs Office in June of 2024, and was immediately fired after the incident.
