PEORIA, Ill. – The next step towards back-to-back titles by the Peoria Rivermen starts Wednesday night at Carver Arena.
The top-seeded Rivermen host the 7th-seeded Evansville Thunderbolts in the semifinal round of the Southern Professional Hockey League’s President’s Cup playoffs.
Game Two will be Friday in Evansville, while a Game Three would be back in Peoria Saturday, if needed.
The winner will take on the series winner between the 4th-seeded Birmingham Bulls and the 6th-seeded Knoxville Ice Bears.
The Rivermen advanced to the semifinals after sweeping the best-of-three series from the Quad City Storm last week.
