TRILLA, Ill. โ The Coles County coroner confirms there were no survivors of the crash of a small plane near the Coles-Cumberland County line on Saturday.
Coroner Ed Schniers has identified the two men and two women on board the plane, all of them from Menomonie, Wisconsin. The victims were 46-year-old Ross Nelson, 45-year-old Raimi Rundle, 36-year-old Courtney Morrow, and 48-year-old Michael Morrow.
The crash happened around 10:15 a.m. Saturday on a county road in Trilla, about three miles south of Mattoon near the Coles County Airport.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are leading the investigation.
The FAA has been on the scene since the crash. The NTSB was expected to arrive on Sunday.
