PEORIA, Ill. – A Chillicothe man was arrested Monday afternoon after he allegedly stole a forklift near the Peoria Civic Center.
Peoria Police says officers responded to the loading dock area just before 12:30 P.M.
The forklift was found abandoned across the street in the 300-block of Romeo B. Garrett.
30-year-old Dillon Howard was identified as a suspect, and taken into custody a short time later near Romeo B Garrett and Richard Pryor Place.
Howard was arrested for Theft and taken to the Peoria County Jail.
