PEORIA, Ill – Another week of road construction will affect motorists in Peoria and Tazewell Counties.
Daytime lane closures on the Murray Baker Bridge, I-74, will resume Monday and Tuesday affecting westbound traffic.
The lane closures begin shortly after the morning rush hour and are scheduled until 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. Illinois Department of Transportation says to expect “heavy delays.”
Tuesday, the ramp from Airport Road to westbound I-474 in Peoria County will close for one week due to bridge painting. This is a shared ramp affecting both directions of Airport Road to I-474. A detour will be posted.

Also on Tuesday, the intersection of Adams and Eureka Streets in Peoria near the McClugage Bridge will close for drainage and concrete work. IDOT say the improvements are being done to connect the intersection to the new multi-use path on the McClugage. The closure is is expected to last about a month.

Beginning mid-week in Tazewell County, lane closures for sewer work will impact traffic on Parkway Drive from Route 98 south for about a half-mile into Pekin. This work is scheduled to last two to three weeks.
