PEORIA, Ill. – An arrest has been made in connection to a shooting last month on Peoria’s South Side that injured a 14-year-old.
Peoria Police say 18-year-old Kavione McCall was identified as the suspect in the shooting.
The shooting occurred on April 8th in the area of MacArthur and John H Gywnn, where the 14-year-old was found with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg.
McCall was found after police located a stolen vehicle Tuesday in the area of Missouri and Illinois.
Four people, including McCall, reportedly exited the vehicle and fled on foot, but all were taken into custody after a brief chase.
McCall was arrested on numerous weapons charges and taken to the Peoria County Jail.
