PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria-area eye doctor is closing its doors after more than four decades in business.
Bond Eye Associates announced Thursday that its practice will close for good on June 27th.
The owner, William Bond, says in the statement that the closure is due to ”unforeseen financial challenges, rising operational costs, and insurance reimbursement issues.”
“This decision was not made lightly, and we have explored every possible avenue to continue providing care. Unfortunately, the financial constraints have made it impossible to sustain the practice,” the statement reads.
The statement continues by saying the practice appreciates the trust and relationships they have built over the years.
Bond Eye Associates has been open since 1981 and has locations in Peoria and Pekin.
The statement encourages current patients in Pekin to go to Vision Care Practice, and for everyone to contact their insurance provider to transfer medical records.
