PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria’s popular Riverfront Market returns this weekend.
Sharon Gramm, who’s been in charge of the market for 20 years, tells WMBD’s “Greg and Dan”, they’ve got over 115 vendors this year, and it’s a “producers only” market.
“So, everything has to be grown, made, or created by the person that’s selling it, and it has to be in the state of Illinois,” Gramm says.
The outdoor farmers market, located in the 200 block of Water Street in downtown Peoria, features local produce, meats, cheese, baked goods and more.
Gramm says it’s been exciting to see the market grow over the years.
“We have over 115 vendors signed up for opening day, and we will grow a little bit from there, as the season goes on,” Gramm says.
Peoria Riverfront Market will be open every Saturday from 8 a.m.-Noon, through the end of September.
