EAST PEORIA, Ill. – Illinois Central College is working on how to house students affected by the closure of campus housing.
In March, the college announced that students living in Woodview Commons would have to find new arrangements, due to extensive and costly repairs that ICC could not cover.
In an update provided at the May Board of Trustees meeting, the school set up partnerships with Methodist College and Bradley University to accommodate around 100 students each. The agreement with Bradley would provide housing at St. James Apartments for ICC student-athletes and specific sponsored programs that include CAT Technician and Agriculture.
The complex currently houses nearly 250 students, but about 100 of them graduated this month. A survey was sent to close to 250 students about their intentions for housing in the Fall 2025 semester.
The administration is also meeting with CityLink to provide transportation options to those students living off campus.
