METAMORA, Ill. – A central Illinois pool that’s needed significant repairs will need more time to open for the season.
In a Facebook post, the Metamora Swimming Pool says it will not be able to open this weekend, as originally planned. The new opening is scheduled for June 9th.
It cites construction delays with the pool chlorinators, and a previous post mentioned waiting on required permits from the state.
25 News reports repairs cost between $75,000 to $100,000.
Swim lessons have also been pushed back to the weeks of July 28th and August 4th.
