PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria bank building is closed after a gas leak Thursday morning.
Peoria Fire says crews were called to the area of Knoxville and Inverness just after 9:15 A.M. on reports of a natural gas leak outside.
Crews arrived to find that an underground natural gas main was struck.
Ameren is on scene as well to mitigate the leak.
Peoria Fire says the leak is coming from a large main and is causing an odor in the area, but there is no damage or fire at this time.
