PEORIA, Ill. – A building in Peoria’s Warehouse District has been given approval to have alcohol on site.
The city council on Tuesday approved a site application for S & A Hospitality, which operates the Love Shack, which is located inside Pop Up Chicken Shop. That led to concerns on how the two businesses would be separated.
But City Attorney Patrick Hayes clarified to council they were voting on the site, and not the business owners.
“With regard to the site approval, is this a physical location that would support the amenity of the requested uses? The answer to that question is, ‘Yes, it is,’” Hayes said.
The Love Shack’s owner says Pop Up and Love Shack would have two different tabs and two different point of sale systems, with floaters taking orders from tables or individuals walking to the bar.
