PEORIA, Ill. – A man listed with a Texas address was arrested by Peoria Police after an investigation into alleged grooming.
Peoria Police say a report was taken on February 12th from a parent regarding alleged explicit messages via a social media chat by a named adult to a minor.
Multiple search warrants were executed on numerous accounts during the investigation, and the suspect was identified as 34-year-old Mario Davis.
Davis was taken into custody at around 10:30 A.M. Tuesday for questioning, and eventually arrested. He is charged with Grooming and Indecent Solicitation of a Child, as well as Disorderly Conduct for allegedly filing a false police report.
Davis was taken to the Peoria County Jail.
