PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police were called to the area of N. Lehman Road and W. Nebraska Avenue Wednesday night on reports of someone being shot.
Peoria Police say when they arrived, officers found a 12-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the stomach. He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
Police Spokesperson Semone Roth says there is currently no suspect information.
The incident remains under investigation.
