PEORIA HEIGHTS, Ill. – One person has died after a multi-vehicle crash Friday morning in Peoria Heights.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says the victim is a 30-year-old woman who was pronounced dead at the scene at around 8:15 A.M.
He says the crash occurred just after 6:45 A.M. in the area of Illinois Route 29 and Riverview Court.
Harwood says preliminary information indicates the woman was northbound on Route 29 when she reportedly struck a midsized pick-up truck head on.
Traffic lanes in the area of the crash were closed until just after 10:00 A.M.
The crash is under investigation.
