TAZEWELL COUNTY, Ill. – Tazewell County says its 911 lines are back in operation.
In a Facebook post just before 2:30 P.M., the county announced its lines were fixed and active, but did not explain why the lines went down.
The county announced the lines went down earlier in the morning, with calls rerouted to Peoria County.

TAZEWELL COUNTY, Ill. – Tazewell County says all calls coming into its 911 center are currently down.
No reason was given for the outage in a Facebook post to announce it, and says the issue is out of the county’s control.
The post adds the county is hopeful it will be fixed by the afternoon.
The county says those who do call 911 will be rerouted to Peoria County, who will take the information or transfer the call.
