PEORIA, Ill. – Arrest warrants have been issued for a pair of teenagers allegedly responsible for the death of a tow yard employee this week.
Peoria County State’s Attorney Jodi Hoos says First Degree Murder charges have been filed against 18-year-old Terrance Shaw and 16-year-old Jaylin Polnitz. She says Polnitz is being charged as an adult.
Peoria police say Polnitz was taken into custody without incident around 2:45 p.m. Friday at the Peoria Police Department.
Shaw is still at large.
Shaw is described as a black male, around 5-foot-10, around 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Shaw is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone with information on Shaw’s location is urged to call 911 immediately.
The incident occurred at Billie Jo’s Towing on Monday afternoon, when Shaw and Polnitz allegedly stole a vehicle and attempted to flee.
Two employees attempted to close the gate, but the pair forced their way through at a high rate of speed, crashing into two people.
One of those two people was 70-year-old William Collier, who died the next morning at a local hospital from injuries sustained after being hit.
