PEORIA, Ill. – Kroger’s plan to close around 60 stores across the country will have effects in Peoria.
25 News reports the Peoria location on Sterling is slated to close on August 2nd.
A Kroger spokesperson says each employee at the location will have the chance to transfer to a different Kroger.
The move comes as Kroger seeks to be more efficient and ensure its long-term viability.
Kroger has two other locations in Peoria; Lindbergh Drive and Lake Avenue.
