PEORIA, Ill. – Four males, three adults and one teenager, are charged in connection with a robbery at a Northwest Peoria apartment complex.
The Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office says 19-year-old Marcus King, 20-year-old Roget Caige, and 19-year-old Tramerreon Blakes are each charged with two counts of Aggravated Robbery.
A 17-year-old who was taken into custody near Logan Park after a large fight Saturday, and is charged with two counts of Armed Robbery in connection.
The incident occurred the afternoon of June 7th, where the victim was texting with the teen to arrange a sale.
The victim and a friend left and saw three of the defendants get out of the vehicle and put on ski masks. The trio then approached, reportedly showing handguns, took several items that included shoes and jewelry, then allegedly pistol-whipped the victims in the face before fleeing.
The victims were able to identify the four defendants involved, with two of them reportedly wearing items that were stolen during the robbery.
All four defendants were ordered to remain in custody, with a motion made to transfer the 17-year-old’s case to adult court.
