PPD: Two teens shot while playing with a gun in the East Bluff

PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police say two teenagers, a boy and a girl, were shot Tuesday night while playing with a gun in the East Bluff.

At approximately 9:08 p.m., officers were called to the 1200 block of E. McClure, near N. Prospect Road, on reports of a shooting.

PPD Spokesperson Semone Roth says officers found the teens, who are 15 and 16. One was shot in the leg, the other had a gunshot wound to the hand.

The juveniles, who were in possession of a handgun, were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
