PEORIA, Ill. – An investigation is underway after a robbery early Tuesday morning in Peoria’s East Bluff.
Officers responded just before 4:15 A.M. to the area of Frye and New York, finding a 47-year-old female victim.
The victim told police that she was walking when she was robbed and physically assaulted by two armed male suspects.
Police say the victim was struck multiple times with personal items stolen. The suspects then fled on foot toward Republic Street.
Peoria Police say a drone search of the area was conducted, but the suspects were not located.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
