PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria police are investigating a late Saturday night shooting in Central Peoria.
Spokesperson Simone Roth says officers were dispatched to the area near Sterling and Forrest Hill just before 11:30 p.m. after a report of shots fired.
They did not find a victim on the scene, but a short time later police were informed of a 24-year-old man who was dropped off at a local hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.
The man’s injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.
There is no suspect information.
