PEORIA, Ill. – An 18-year-old has been indicted for murder in connection to the death of a toddler he was reportedly babysitting.
A Peoria County grand jury indicted Amarian Billups-Wilson on Tuesday on one count of First Degree Murder and one count of Aggravated Battery in the death of 18-month-old Clylen Ewing.
Ewing was found unresponsive and not breathing at a residence in South Peoria in June by Peoria Police.
Ewing later died at a hospital with an autopsy revealing multiple blunt force trauma injuries as the cause of death.
Ewing’s mother reportedly left her four children in the care of Billups-Wilson, with the children allegedly witnessing him strike Ewing and a five-month-old child.
