PEORIA, Ill. – A man accused of uploading child pornography online has been ordered to stay in the Peoria County Jail.
The Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office says 27-year-old Kewan Hudson was ordered held at a detention hearing on Wednesday.
Hudson was arrested Tuesday by Chillicothe Police on ten counts of child pornography.
Prosecutors say a CyberTip was received to police on July 14th by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding a Chillicothe resident uploading child sex abuse material via the social media platform KIK.
A search warrant was obtained for the IP address associated with the material, with the address matching Hudson’s residence.
Hudson allegedly admitted to police during questioning that the KIK account belonged to him and acknowledged that individuals would send him the videos.
The case remains under investigation.
