LACON, Ill. – A tentative agreement has been reached between a Marshall County school district and its teachers union.
The Midland Education Association says it and District Seven met with a federal mediator for six hours on Tuesday, with a mutual tentative agreement reached.
The previous contract between the two sides expired on June 30th, with negotiations going on since February.
The MEA had been seeking competitive pay and benefits to help retain teachers in the district.
