Peoria, Ill. (25 News) – The Children’s Home Association of Illinois has opened its new Community Services Building in downtown Peoria.
Located between the Red Cross and OSF Healthcare First, the facility houses the Behavioral Health and Prevention Services divisions — offering everything from prenatal and infant care to therapy for teens and young adults.
Vice President of Prevention Services Anni Reinking told 25 News she hopes families see it as a welcoming place for all needs.
“This is a place that will serve them in their needs, regardless of whether they’re pregnant and need services through their pregnancy, or whether they just gave birth and need a doula or lactation services. If they’re reaching out for different therapy services, this is a place that they have some ownership to, because it really is for them to have the services that they need,” Reinking said.
The Children’s Home also plans to host community events at the new location — a long-time goal for the organization.
