PEORIA, Ill. – A 21-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly striking a pedestrian with a vehicle Tuesday night.
Peoria Police says officers arrived just after 9:45 P.M. to the intersection of Frye and Wisconsin, finding a 22-year-old male lying on the sidewalk.
Police say he was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
A traffic stop was made a short time later on a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Kayana Polk at Nebraska and Peoria.
Polk was arrested for Aggravated Battery with a Motor Vehicle, Hit and Run, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Report a Personal Injury Crash.
She was taken to the Peoria County Jail.

PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police were called to the intersection of E. Frye and N. Wisconsin Tuesday night on reports of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle in the East Bluff.
PPD Spokesperson Semone Roth says just after 9:45 p.m., officers found a man who had been struck by a vehicle. The vehicle involved was later stopped, and the woman driving it was taken into custody.
The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The woman was arrested and taken to the Peoria County Jail.
At this time, there are no details about the age of the victim or the age and name of the suspect who was arrested.
