PEORIA, Ill. – One person was taken to a hospital after their vehicle went down a ravine in Peoria on Thursday night.
Peoria Fire says crews responded just before 7:45 P.M. to War Memorial and Meadowbrook.
The vehicle was eventually found balancing on an embankment 60 feet below the roadway, with the driver still inside it and having medical issues.
Fire crews used cables and a winch to stabilize the vehicle, then used a stokes basket and rescue rope to bring the driver up.
AMT transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.
