PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria firefighters were called to a structure fire early Wednesday morning in the area of Eureka Street and Homestead Avenue.
Fire Battalion Chief Josh Martin says crews arrived just after 12 a.m., finding heavy smoke and fire showing from a home.
Fire was found on both the first and second floors, but no one was inside at the time of the fire.
Due to the size of the home and the extent of the fire, additional crews were called in.
An arson investigator determined the fire was intentionally set.
Damage is estimated at $75,000.
No injuries were reported at the scene.
