PEORIA HEIGHTS, Ill. – Halloween at Soderstrom Castle on Grandview Drive is a tradition for many families in Peoria Heights and the Peoria area.
Thea Hartzler, Estate Manager at Soderstrom Castle, invites families to come experience the spectacular light and sound show and Trick-or-Treating Friday night from 5-8 p.m.
The theme for the 14th Spooktacular is “Young Frankenstein”.
“We will have talent from the Peoria Players and Ryan from Prospect Sound and Lighting. So, we’ll have music and lights, we’ll have some fire-breathing dragons. We have obviously our Hershey’s candy bars being handed out, and a whole lot of fun for everybody,” Hartzler says.
She says if you come for Trick or Treating, expect long lines and limited parking on Grandview Drive.
“If you come early, it’s better. But, it’s nice to see the area and our light show in the dark. Be patient…take your time with your kids. We don’t shut down until everybody has an opportunity to come through,” Hartzler says.
Peoria Park Police will be out directing traffic all evening while Trick or Treating at Soderstrom Castle is going on.
