PEORIA, Ill. – A man was injured and reportedly had his vehicle stolen Saturday night in Peoria’s East Bluff.
Peoria Police responded just after 8:30 P.M. to the area of Indiana and Archer, speaking to a 25-year-old male victim.
The victim told police he was in his backyard when two masked males reportedly armed with handguns approached him.
The suspects demanded the victim’s personal belongings and keys to his vehicle, and reportedly struck the victim in the head with a firearm during the encounter. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspects then fled southbound in the victim’s vehicle.
A search for the vehicle by police was unsuccessful.
