Two Peoria men are facing serious charges involving the sexual abuse of minors, according to the Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Sergio Delgado-Rodriguez, 26, was charged Thursday with aggravated criminal sexual abuse for allegedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old female he met on Snapchat.
William R. Kingsley, 29, was charged Thursday with predatory criminal sexual assault for allegedly sexually abusing a relative under the age of 13.
Both men will remain in custody until trial after judges granted the state’s petitions to detain them.
According to prosecutors, a sexual assault case involving Delgado-Rodriguez and a 16-year-old female was transferred to the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office on November 4.
Deputies spoke with the victim on November 18. She reported meeting the defendant on Snapchat in July 2025 and disclosing her age to him at that time. The victim said Delgado-Rodriguez began sexually assaulting her in October.
During the investigation, deputies located text messages between the defendant and victim discussing their relationship and how to lie to the victim’s parents about the defendant’s age.
Delgado-Rodriguez was arrested November 19.
In the second case, Peoria Police received a report from the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services on October 7 regarding a possible sexual assault that occurred in September at a Peoria residence.
The child, who is not from the area, reported that the sexual abuse occurred while she was visiting family in town.
A forensic interview was conducted at the Peoria County Child Advocacy Center on November 5, during which the child again disclosed the abuse by Kingsley.
Kingsley was arrested November 20. During an interview with detectives, he confessed to the abuse and described it as a “moment of weakness,” according to prosecutors.
