PEORIA, Ill. – Accumulating snow could make driving a little tricky across Central Illinois Thursday evening.
That’s why 25 News First Alert Chief Meteorologist Brian Walder is calling for a First Alert Weather Day Thursday evening through Thursday night.
“A few snow showers will be possible as early as Thursday afternoon, but expect a better chance for snow showers Thursday evening and overnight. This could lead to slick travel at times during and after the afternoon commute,” Walder says.
He expects snow totals of an inch or two on the low side, with totals up to 3 to 4 inches on the high side.
The National Weather Service in Lincoln has also issued a Winter Weather Advisory issued for 3 PM today (Thursday)–6AM Friday.
