PEORIA, Ill. – Two teenaged boys were arrested after allegedly stealing a vehicle late Saturday night.
Peoria Police says officers responded to Forrest Hill and Gale just before 11:45 P.M. on reports of the stolen vehicle.
The vehicle was spotted southbound on Molleck, with three males exiting the vehicle and fleeing on foot during an attempted traffic stop.
Police say a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old were taken into custody after a brief foot chase, while the third suspect was not found.
The 16-year-old was arrested for Motor Vehicle Theft, Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Resisting/Obstructing a Peace Officer, Possession of Burglary Tools, Reckless Driving, and traffic violations. He was released to the custody of a guardian.
Peoria Police says the 15-year-old was arrested on an active warrant and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
