WOODFORD COUNTY, Ill. – A Peoria Heights man has been arrested after allegedly attempting to meet with a minor.
Woodford County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Dennis Tipsword says 41-year-old Daniel Campbell was arrested Monday afternoon.
Campbell had allegedly traveled to the county to meet with who he believed to be a 15-year-old girl he met online.
He was arrested on two counts of Indecent Solicitation of a Child, one count of Traveling to Meet a Minor, and one count of Grooming.
The investigation was conducted by the sheriff’s office’s Pro-Active unit “predator team.”
As of Wednesday, Campbell was in the Woodford County Jail awaiting a pretrial detention court hearing.
