PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria County grand jury has indicted a man accused of sexually assaulting a minor relative over a period of years.
33-year-old Brandon Kohtz of Germantown Hills was indicted on Tuesday on two counts of child pornography.
Court documents allege that Kohtz knowingly possessed a photograph or similar visual reproduction or depiction by computer of a minor under the age of 18 in an alleged pose with a lewd exhibition of a body part.
The Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office previously alleged that Kohtz did demonstrations on the minor, instead of answering her questions about a sexual education class.
The assaults were alleged to have taken place from when the minor was in seventh grade until she was a high school sophomore.
Kohtz is due back in court on January 29th for an arraignment hearing.
