PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria firefighters rescued a person trapped inside a vehicle after a rollover crash Tuesday night.
Fire Battalion Chief Stephen Rada said crews were called to the area of W. Malone and S. Alder Street around 8 p.m., on mutual aid call for the Limestone Fire Department.
Crews found the vehicle on its side. The occupant was unable to get out due to damage to the vehicle. Firefighters used hand tools to remove the windshield to free the driver, who was alert and talking.
The crash is being investigated by the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident caused an estimated $25,000 damage.
